One half pint of K23 firebrick dust for use in repair purposes. Comes in a plastic jar with a screw-on lid.

When you need to convert your kiln from Type K to Type S thermocouples, this plug is cemented into the larger hole we use for our Type K thermocouples with protection tubes.

Instructions

This is used to prevent element ends from touching each other (on older kilns). A 21/64" diameter hole is drilled into the brick 1-1/4" deep and the assembly is inserted into the hole. The overall length is 2" and the thick end is about 3/4" long.

If your old block has 3 bolts (series configuration, as pictured) then you need to order one of these jumper wires as well. 

You will also need 4 of these screws (2 per NEW BLOCK). 

Reference the diagrams at the bottom of this page for wiring your new blocks based on whether you have parallel or series elements.
