In this video, we demonstrate how to change a single-phase kiln into a three-phase L&L Easy-Fire or School-Master kiln.
Although this video is specific to these kiln series, the basic principle applies to most 280 and 240-volt kilns. Kilns with higher amperage will not have the cord, but all 208 and 240-volt kilns can do the same easy change at the terminal block.

The hard ceramic element channels that L&L uses are very hard to break - unlike the typical grooved fragile firebrick grooves that most manufacturers use. See this for more information.

The L&L Spring Hinge sits far back at an angle leaving the opening unobstructed. This makes loading an L&L Kiln so much easier than most kilns. That results in less possible damage to the interior of the kiln while loading. See this for more information.

L&L Furniture Kits feature strong Cone 11 pressed high alumina hearth plates, carefully cut square posts which stay straight, and protection gloves.
Please note: L&L no longer includes kiln wash or sells it separately. Please buy that from a ceramic supply company.

Quad Element System results in longer element life through lower watt density and heavy gauge elements.

All L&L Kilns feature these solid ceramic peephole plugs. They are much stronger and heavier-duty than the typical hollow slip-cast peephole plugs you find on many competitors' kilns. Although they can break it is much less likely with these plugs.. See this for more information.
