- Ensure peepholes are sealed with peephole plugs.
- Ensure the hole for the vent is properly sized. Check Vent-Sure instructions for proper hole sizes.
- If you are using a different brand of vent, ensure it is the correct size for your kiln. Check with the vent manufacturer and inform them of the volume in cubic feet of the kiln.
- If the lid or bottom is cracked, check to see if it seems to be leaking much heat at high temperatures. Patch or replace if extreme.
