At the very least check for discoloration (an indication of oxidation). Electrical connectors will typically oxidize over time where there is heat, which can cause further overheating of the part at the connection point. This can, in turn, lead to early failure of the part, wire, and connector. Ensure the new connectors are firmly crimped onto the wire.
