The Warranty Process

What to do if there is a problem

  1. If you have a warranty issue just call our either your distributor or our office and let us know what the problem is.
  2. We will discuss it with you and determine the best course of action.

What we need from you

  1. We will want to know the your name, address, model number and serial number.
  2. We may need to have a copy of the sales invoice to determine how long they have had the kiln. Typically we determine this from the serial number but there could be circumstances where we would need to know exactly when it was shipped.

Warranty Parts

  1. If a part is required we will issue an internal document for a no-charge part and the part shipment will be expedited through the shop automatically.
  2. You do not need to fill out any paperwork.
  3. There will be no charge for shipping or handling.

elements

  1. If elements are being replaced under warranty you need to refer to the pro-rated chart in the warranty.
  2. Depending on the length of time the kiln has been in service there may be no charge for elements or some pro-rated charge.
  3. There will be no shipping or handling expense.
  4. In some case, at our discretion, we may want to get elements back for examination. This is something we would discuss with you.

Panel repairs

  1. We will fix any problem in any removable control panel that is under warranty at no cost to you.
  2. We need to know the nature of problem in as much detail as possible.
  3. DO NOT SEND US A PANEL WITHOUT TALKING TO TECHNICAL SUPPORT FIRST.
  4. Then we issue internal paperwork detailing the nature of the problem so that when the panel comes into the shop the repair person can adequately fix the problem.
  5. Almost all L&L panels are removable (on Easy-Fire, Jupiter and DaVinci kilns). You can then wrap the control panel in bubble wrap or some other protective packaging material, box it up and send it to us.
  6. We will pay for shipping both ways if the kiln is under warranty.

On-Site labor is not covered

  1. We do not cover on-site labor costs for kilns.
