Mullite Thermocouple Protection Tube - Standard

Kilns that come standard with thermocouples and protection tubes have a factory-programmed Thermocouple Offset of + 18 degrees. If your kiln has thermocouples , but no protection tubes and you are installing them in your kiln, you will have to re-program the thermocouple offset to ensure that the kiln is reading temperature accurately. This information is available in your kilns manual in the "Control" section page 27 (4.3.3.8)

If your kiln has 8 Ga. Type-K Thermocouples without protection tubes, they can be added to your kiln by drilling a larger hole to accommodate the protection tube.
