Replacing Lids

  1. Remove one of the Cotter pins from the Hinge Bar.
  2. Pull out the Hinge Bar.
  3. Unscrew the chains from the stainless steel case of the lid.

Replacing Elements

  1. Unplug kiln.
  2. Remove the Control Box.

Replacing Control

  1. Unplug kiln.
  2. Remove the four #6 screws that hold the control in place from the front face of the control panel.

Removing Panel for Service

  1. Unplug the kiln.
    2. Main Image: 

Check transformer for proper operation

  1. Check voltage across the top center tap and either of the two top taps.

Check power cord

  1. Make sure power cord is plugged in.
  2. Reseat the plug. Pull it out of the receptacle and put it back it. This will reseat the connections.
